URList [URL + list] is a web application that allows to manage easily and quickly your web contents through the simple but effective tool of the list.

It's easy to get lost in the huge amount of information on the Web. Imagine if you could organize all the pieces of information you collect for a task in an easy and social way. URList helps you organize your Web contents by using the simple but effective tool of the list of links. Every single urlist is a powerful social item: just share it through your social network and let your friends contribute to improve the list you've just created. Urlists are meant to be flexible and inclusive. For instance, if you're looking for an up-to-date, hand selected and well structured information, you can also search and explore the public urlists created and cured by our users.

URList is currently in the beta release phase. Create a URList is straightforward: visit http://urli.st/ and add the links to the big field in the center of the page. Every urlist is identified by its share link, a short and printer–friendly link (it does not contain confusing letter such as '1lI' or '0Oo'), easy to share on Twitter or Facebook, etc... You can share your urlist enabling the append on mode, in this way other users can add links to the list (later, you can always put the urlist in append off mode).
The features of URList make the urlist a structured thematic path, your best way to order, aggregate and socialize the information. These effective features simplify and optimize the management of the urlists:
- the personal dashboard displays your last edited and visited urlists; the alert system, that works also via email notification, informs you about the changes made to the urlists (such as the addition of new links by other users). A tag-system allows you to organize and order your urlists under different topics;
- the bookmarklet, a simple extension for the browser, allows to add in a snap the link of the page you are visiting to one of your urlists, without coming back to the URList website;
- the advanced login allows Google and Twitter users to register to URList without creating a new account;
- the navigation mode allows to browse, in a fullscreen fashion, the links of the urlists without coming back to URList website;
- list order: you can rearrange the links in your urlist by dragging items into a new position.
Modello di business
URList is free for the user. We have identified two main sources of revenues:
- unconventional marketing for companies and professionals;
- customized version of the product for companies and professionals as a tool to manage lists of information or to be integrated within collaborative suite to share intra-company information.
